Screw it into any E27 lamp like an ordinary bulb (it fits E26 too). No app, no hub, no electrician. It looks best in a lamp with a shade: you see the light, not the LEDs.

With the switch you already have. It always starts in Night, the orange. Switch off and back on within 11 seconds and it steps up: Night → evening → day. After the brightest mode, the next flip goes back to Night.

The brightest step gives 520 lm on Home Office (DEN), more than an old 40 W bulb; 380 lm on Living Room (EEN) and 250 lm on the Bedroom bulbs (ENN, ENN 2.0). Night mode gives 15 lm: enough to find your way and read close up, not enough to wake you.

It is a bulb for a lamp: a desk lamp, a bedside lamp, a reading lamp, or the pendant in a small room. In a living room, put one in each lamp you use in the evening; two or three warm lamps light a room better than one bright ceiling light.

Night mode has a daytime signal (MDER) of 0.015: about 1.5 % of daylight, and 30 times less than an ordinary warm-white LED (0.44). The middle steps sit where sunset and golden hour sit (0.20–0.44). The day step of Home Office, 4000 K, is meant to tell your body it is day (0.73).

Not directly: good components don't fit an E14 body yet. A reduction gets the bulb into an E14 lamp (160 mm long in total, check the shade), and Orange Only E14 is a night bulb for small lamps.

On purpose. Reaching for your phone at night is blue light too. The switch on the wall or on the cord is all it needs.
